Imperial Bedrooms by Bret Easton Ellis

Just finished reading Bret Easton Ellis’s new book, Imperial Bedrooms.

Ellis is a most accomplished author with hits such as American Psycho and the Rules of Attraction.

This book is the continuation of Less Than Zero which dealt with overindulgent teens in L.A. Whereas I felt Less Than Zero was extremely well done, Imperial Bedrooms left me wanting more from Ellis and his main character Clay. Whereas the characters in Less Than Zero and American Psycho were mostly superficial, they are two books you simply cannot put down without finishing.

If you’re a fan, pick up the book – if not, then perhaps get it on sale. That sounds cruel, but its the truth.
